The 12 Stages of Life: Mid Adulthood

‘This society provides the pre-constructed closed model in which your life exists, the social structure ensures that you can move within the model but you cannot move beyond it. This is a stage of deeper meaning in your life; you tend to contemplate on the purpose and meaning of your time on this world. Is this what I want? Can I change? Is money the obstacle? These are questions you ask yourself but the degree of social control (debt) and pressure constrains you and you find yourself resorting to those moments of empty happiness and superficial joy. You return to the repetitious cycle of buying and chasing inanimate objects you don’t need in order to fulfil the illusions of desire which have been systematically embedded in your mind since birth.
