iFirm Tax - Return Manager

Hi all!

iFirm Tax is the first cloud-based professionaI accounting software in Canada.

To celebrate the recent release of iFirm Tax and the outcome of my first year of work at Wolters Kluwer being finally in the hands of our dear clients, I will upload some basic feature screen with the thinking behind it.

Here we go with the main list where the users can create new returns, search for them and more. Your comments are always welcome!

Quick action
The buttons at the right of the breadcrumb are always at the same place. So in this grid or in an opened return, the user does not have to search for them. Furthermore, our users do a lot of batch action. With the checkbox and those buttons, all the most used actions are available all the time easily.

Individual / Family View
The application can be use with multiple type of client: Personal, Corporate and more in the future. For Personal, they are for the most part families. It is important to see the status of all the family membre to know if there is work left to do. but the user can search by individual status as well for more flexibility.

Customisable Columns
This table is used a lot of different way. It can be use only to find a return, so the search on the top is the best place. It can be use to find only eligible returns for a type of filing. So the customizable columns are a necessity to be able to see the required status. And if a user has a small screen resolution, he can remove some columns he use less to have more room for the other.

The spacing between the status and Date modified has been incorporated for the family only. It gives the family informations dissociated from the family members' one.

Pagination
I love lazy loading, not having to click on anything to be able to see more result is great. But the application shown is in a web application with technical limitations. So I did a pagination. Yes, there is a thousand way to design a pagination, but I use the closest design with the rest of the web app with a touch of modernity.

And more
There is few more features in that grid like filtering by column, status that has an history of transmission have a link to open an overview of this history.
