Text From The Universe Postcard

Here's the third in a series of four postcards I illustrated to appreciate 826 Valencia Tenderloin volunteers. Tune in tomorrow for the last (and my personal favorite) one!

Over several weeks, volunteers helped elementary school students from a local youth and childcare center write a collaborative story about The Planet of Love. I used lines from the class story to illustrate vintage-inspired tourism postcards. The story itself was so wildly imaginative, funny, and moving. It's incredible to see how younger students would describe the idea of love.
