New Portfolio Site

Portfolio updates are the hardest.

Out of any website I could possibly be working on, my own has proved to be the most difficult. It's hard to build something and commit to one purpose for the overall design. My last few have felt more like marketing sites, rather than a designer site. The trouble with this is that I'm not an agency, I'm a freelance designer.

So I set out to develop a place for my work to exist, and that's it. I just wanted a site that wins freelance clients and appeals to art directors. I'm not a marketing agency, I'm not working full-time at this, and that's what users need to leave with.

Best advice I can give any designer is to make sure to write down who will be using your site, and then build it for them. Don't try to make something that fits everyone because it never will.

Check out the real site online and let me know what you think in the comments, or on Twitter
