If you're a designer, it's so important to be a storyteller too. I love to use the storybook technique. It works amazingly well in mobile design. One thought per page... one action per page. Bring the user along on the journey, and make life easy for them!
Plus, to be able to explain technical things so that anyone can understand them is a skill. We don't need to talk about the "line check" when we can talk about the "ping".
