Pramila Jayapal portrait - final version

Following the rough test version from earlier this week, here’s the final illustration of U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D WA-7). As before, I separated a color reference photo out into CMYK channels using this online tool, drew each color channel separately in black & white in my sketchbook, then colorized and layered the drawings together in the computer. Since I’m using my phone’s camera as a “scanner,” I decided to incorporate some cast shadows for added color.

I still don’t have this technique perfected, and the tools I’m using are relatively primitive, but the lo-fi quality pleases me.
