UX Prototype Challenge #1 - Youtube Mobile Homepage

My first attempt at diving into ux and mobile apps. Here's my take at a minimalist and fresh approach into one of my most used mobile apps - Youtube (ios).

As an avid user myself, I felt that the homepage was a bit depersonalised and cluttered. It takes me a long time to scroll down until I find a video I would like to watch. My goal here was to improve the intuitive flow on the homepage allowing the users to feel more personalised while browsing on mobile.

Some key things to note of:
> User and youtube channels are placed on top of the video now instead of below.

> Video details are decluttered and left with number of views & date of upload.

> There are two options visibly placed on the bottom right of the video.
The one on the left already exist in the current youtube option lists - " add to playlist ". By visibly placing it on the front, users could easily compile videos they intend to watch while browsing and watch them all at one go.
The icon on the far right represents next, on the animated version it will indicated that you could swipe left to view horizontally view more videos from the same youtube channel.

This version is far from perfect but I had learnt a lot throughout the 5 day challenge.

Here's the link to my attempt at the animated version a.k.a figuring out invision app ;)
