Colorado Springs, CO—City Flag

I'll be honest, the city flag for my town is outdated and has some major design flaws. Although it has some rich history, it's lacking what a flag is supposed to do—create pride and symbolize the community it's in. Most people don't even know our city has a flag.

Green Star = Armed Forces Community.
Yellow Sun = 300 days of sunshine. Also in a sunset position because of our outrageous sunsets.
White = Cleanliness & health of the city (From old flag).
Blue Mountain = Pikes Peak (with Snow).
Red Border = Ruddy colored earth (Colorado State flag).
Red/White/Blue = Symbolizing our tagline, 'Olympic City' (Colors from Team USA Logo)

I've only intended on this to be a creative exercise, but who knows what it could turn into. Let me know your thoughts and feedback.
