I've been trying to work on making better spacial interfaces and gestural navigation so I put together this simple solar system fact explorer. This project also gave me some practice with creating 3D assets (which I'm still not very good at) and has been a fun challenge overall. In the final build of this project the planets would rotate and animate as you cycle through different facts.
But why is it on a white background? Everything space related is black – for obvious reasons – why not shake it up a bit? I also think the planets look pretty neat on a white background. The simplicity of the visual design keeps your focus on the beauty of planets and is a little less distracting.
