The design team over at Degordian sent us at Five an invite for a weekly UI challenge they started a while ago.
This week's task was to think about the possibilities for improvement in adding a new event to your Google Calendar.
Because the time for the challenge is limited, the only user I could rely on for input, testing and usage data is myself.
After writing out all the features an event can have, I sorted them by priority and decided on the couple of them I use the most. The rest of them could be behind a "More options" link.
Also, sometimes I forget how the event I'm creating plays with the rest of the day so I find it convenient to have it visible while adding the event.
Be sure to check out the initial shot.
