Visual Language Iterations

We went through several iterations before finalizing the node styles for the network builder. Starting out, we knew that color was going to be a big part of the visual language, with different colors signifying different types of nodes.

The first iteration was really heavy handed with the use of color. After sharing designs with the team, I was able to iterate on the feedback I got and arrive at a system that uses color more effectively, has better readability and clearer selected/error states. Viewing the nodes together in the context of an entire network was important to making these decisions.
