Driving "Quick Stop" concept

When I use driving directions on map app, sometimes I'd want to make a quick stop/detour to pick up food/get gas or buy a souvenir without interrupting my "final destination" route. And if I'm supposed to meet my friends in a location, I'd also like to know when/if they have arrived.

So this is just a rough concept of what I am thinking...
