CHINESE SLANG CARDS - LÉI

雷 - LÉI
Literally: thunder
Colloquially: to be shocked into speechlessness
The Chinese internet uses 雷 as a reaction in the same way the English-speaking internet uses “DEAD” or a skull emoji—to signify that some- thing is so shockingly good, bad, or outrageous that it has robbed them of life. In online gaming, it’s used to describe particularly badass players & equipment.
