Here's a close up of my illustration of a plant cell vs. animal cell created for @Brad Woodard's poster project, "Artists for Education." This awesome initiative will provide teachers with posters for their classrooms that not only inform but also inspire learning and creativity.
I remember when I created model cells out of cinnamon rolls and Twizzlers back in 7th grade. It was fun to once again take something very organic and complex and try to convey it in simple forms and shapes.
Attached is the "final_final_v5.ai" screenshot I'm submitting for approval. Take a peek to find out if you still remember your organelles!
