Heap 2.0 is live!

I've spent the past year working on the new version of Heap, and this was one of the toughest projects I've ever worked on. Nailing down the visual aesthetic of the app took months of iterations in my spare time, but I feel really proud of the final product.

As anyone who's actually shipped something knows, shipping is really hard. This only gets more complex when you have thousands of users who spend half their day in your application. Everyone has opinions, because they care.

One of the biggest lessons I learned from this experience was to filter through the feedback to find the actionable takeaways. There is a difference between personal opinions and business decisions, and sometimes the lines are blurred. Saying "no" is not something that comes natural to me, because I'm a people pleaser, but as the only designer at Heap, I learned to find the right balance between listening to feedback and implementing positive changes that would benefit all of our customers.

There's still a ton of work ahead, but I'm really proud of where this thing landed. And if you haven't tried Heap yet, you should give it a shot! heapanalytics.com
