Grible Posters & Values

We needed some new decoration at our headquarters. A while ago we did a strategy weekend and identified some of our core values for the company. I decided to use this output and let those values reflect in a couple of cool quotes that we could use for our walls. In the background you can see a part of our logo that subtly features a photo of Rotterdam (where we are based), to reflect a part of our DNA. Hope you enjoy the design and thoughts around it.

FYI, there are 8 in total:
Fun - We work hard, play hard
Although we tend to work hard, we definitely want to balance this with moments of fun and rest.

Responsibility & Speed - Move fast and break things (inspired by Fb)
Give each other responsibility to figure things out for themselves and move forward at decent pace. This isn't always easy since communication on things being done is also important.

Quality - Compromise on scope, not on quality
We like the 'lean' principles and theories on creating MVPs. We make sure we compromise on scope though, instead of quality.

Drive & Passion - Identify limits, move beyond
Keep learning. Everyone has some space to read, initiate a side-project etc. Besides, we tend to pick projects that challenge us. Work to learn, not to earn.

Honesty - If we don't know, we just ask
Being transparent about things you don't know. Don't pretend you do. Since we have all respect and we have each other's back, don't worry about a lack of knowledge on certain aspects. Just ask.

Respect - Zero ego, all respect
We all have different backgrounds, we all have slightly different skill sets. We just appreciate that diversity. Although it's difficult, we try to put egos aside. Seems to help when you want to learn & grow both as an individual and as a team.

Transparency - We don't let anyone assume
Although we like to 'move fast and break things', communicating about in what direction one's moving and how fast, is essential to keep everyone in the loop of what we're doing as a team. Don't assume anyone knows what you're doing or 's familiar with all of your thoughts. Share without over-documenting.

Trust - We have each other's back
We trust on each other's decisions and don't blame each other for inevitable mistakes that will follow once in a while because of it.
