Kayak

KAYAK is an America based travel search engine founded in 2005. Its products are available in more than 20 languages. Its services can be accessed through their app and website. In the past KAYAK’s website and mobile app have own recognition and awards for their functionality. My design for the KAYAK mobile app focuses on adding additional visual design elements without changing the underlying functionality.

The redesigned hierarchy and layer editing of its visual elements include the addition of transparency to the text input boxes, the editing of the hotel, flight, or rental car search functionality icons, and the results display screen using airline iconic representation. Adding depth through these elements keeps the app familiar while adding immersive qualities.
