The Annapolis Waterfront Hotel began a rebrand in early 2016 to capture more of a New England maritime boutique audience. They approached Hyperdisk Marketing with their new styleguide and visual assets and asked us to create a website for them.
Their previous advertising strategy for guests was to rely on the guest to recognize their Marriot brand name and stay based on the name. But after being realigned to be part of the "Autograph Collection"— a boutique line of destination hotels— The Annapolis Waterfront needed a new focus on lifestyle photography, comfortable rooms, views of the water, and guides for experiencing the city the hotel is part of.
Although this design was well-received by my project managers, and many of the voices of the client, they ultimately chose a direction by a different designer. I had no hand in the design that went on to be developed and sent live.
