MeterGenius - Consumption Categories

MeterGenius is a complete customer engagement solution for electricity providers.

From the Energy Handbook overview page, users can jump into specific categories such as Kitchen, Bedroom, and Garage to discover new ways to be more energy efficient. Each time a user engages with the platform, the platform learns more about the user's consumption habits, and can provide more targeted recommendations (eg. "You consume a lot of energy from 6-8pm. Consider turning off your AC before bed to make up for higher consumption.").

Each category page is divided into various skills that a user can train (Reminders, Questions, Content, etc). Skills have limited participation at each category level to encourage users to interact with and train other skills in that category; that is, instead of allowing users to answer all 200 Kitchen questions, we limit them to a fixed number at each level and encourage them to complete other skills so that they become more well-rounded.

The UI was designed to hint at upcoming questions, provide context as to why a question is being asked (see "Did You Know?"), and enable power users to quickly complete the survey questions using keyboard input (Y/N).
