Pied Piper

Lower right corner of a children's illustration about the Pied Piper of Hamelin (Hameln, Germany), the folktale about how the town of Hameln got rid of all the rats but because they refused to pay the Piper also lost 130 children which he led into a cave nearby. The words on the frame are part of an inscription at a local house about the event.
