Powder ATX logo

A client had an existing logo that featured the capitol building and type, but no concept. When an event came up where they needed a logo asset they decided to revise it and asked what was possible.

The no-brainer here is to modify the top of the capitol building into a powder coat gun nozzle, specifically the industry-standard Wagner PEM-X1 gun. The type is from a great modern geometric sans serif family called Core Sans C, which is a great alternative to Gotham. It’s been modified into a flared serif with small angles added on the P, D, E, R and A.

The secondary version on the right pulls the paint spray mark into a capital O stencil and can be used in tighter horizontal applications.
