Concept for a logo. Thoughts?
over 2 years ago
I'm not sure about the language. Accountant and Auditor? Accounting and Audits? Audit just seems to terminate abruptly, if you get what I mean?
But love the abacus, fricking sweet.
Luke Salmon - Beancounter.
@Tait yeah I'll check with the client in regards to the name as it is the name that he registered for his business so I don't think I can change it.
The client isn't a fan of the font but liked some other fonts I used in different concepts, so keep your eyes peeled for a rebound that still has the abacus in it :)
Just realised how horrendous the kerning on the A is. Can't wait to rebound!
@William Here are my thoughts:
1. Kerning/Letter-spacing between main/bold type is too spacey and awkward in spaces. For example, between the A, L & M
2. The alignment of Accounting & Audit being the same width as Luke and the symbol doesn't sit well (for me)
3. The actual type choice is interesting and unique, but I'm unsure it works with the client's industry. Are they quite 'techy'?
3. The abacus is a nice bit of symbolism, but also seems a little unbalanced. I'd try incorporating that into the type. Perhaps the 'E'? Maybe using negative space or reversing the abacus inside the solid 'arms' of the letter.
