Mammut Logo Redesign Concept

Another logo redesign exploration is coming from a different angle and this time it's about Mammut Switzerland, a globally known manufacturer of clothing and equipment for alpine sports.

Their current logo is legendary, no doubt about that, but it's carrying some issues with it throughout various applications, where tiny details from that mammoth illustration simply get lost. It also needs an outline around the tusk and that circle around the entire body, and my idea was to try to make a better synergy between the symbol and the wordmark. Lately, you can rarely spot those two elements sitting together in a lockup though, but I've made an interesting play between the mammoth's legs and the double M in the middle of the wordmark. Anyhow, had a loads of fun working on this and I'll post some mockups as well, so that you can see this bad boy in action.
