I designed this weather alert system with Womo Iyegha, which came in handy when I was looking up wind conditions for a 60 mile weekend ride over Mt.Tam this weekend.

My thinking was that we needed to make weather alerts as prominent as possible without making them scary red, and design them to be compatible with the rest of the self-configuring regular weather cards. Once the alert is viewed and/or dismissed it turns into a non-naggy, impossible to miss, action icon.
