Chattayum Mundum Woman (Syrian Christian Malayali )

Chattayum Mundum used to the traditional attire of Syrian Christian women in Kerala. The white blouse (full sleeved or half sleeved) is called the Chatta. Chatta is worn with a mundu, or dhoti, which is a piece of cloth worn around your waist.

Although the dress is not a fashion anymore with the youth, or the middle aged, this is still worn by the elderly grandmothers in the community.

This birthday card was designed in 2013, for a friend, who being a Syrian Christian girl, loved this attire close to heart. (:
