A cute robot

Hello all! I actually missed the launch date for this one, with the craziness surrounding of my recent career change.

I wrote a fun tutorial for the good peeps at the @Go Media Arsenal, using on of their latest release: a set of hand drawn Sci-Fi vector elements.

The tutorial uses one of the vectors (a very cute robot) as the subject matter of a children's book cover. I cover techniques to color and texture the asset. As a bonus: there are a couple of freebie textures along the way.

Finally, there's a little easter egg: whoever deciphers the name of the real-world sci-fi author hidden behind Cassia Ovami shall receive the highest of fives.
