Self-serve ordering flow - Square Online
Led the design efforts to design a self serve ordering flow for Square Online dine-in experience. Dinners are able to scan a QR code and view the restaurant's menu online and place orders.
Due to the pandemic, restaurants need to practice post-COVID social distancing for dine-in experiences and reduce operating cost. Contactless Ordering enables buyers who visit a restaurant to scan QR code on their table to order food and pay on their phone. Waiters only bring in food and avoid other social interactions.
Led the product and system design end to end. Presented the vision to leadership in ecom's Design review. Moderated research sessions with the research team. Self serve ordering was the first product to apply App Site patterns. Also presented to Square design leadership the App Site story and how it applies to self-serve mobile experience and future.
