Willamette Valley Map Risograph
The inspiration for this piece was vintage, mid-century children's books, with end papers of maps. I was inspired by local Oregon ecology, geology, and geography to create this piece. The image was created by hand in pencil and ink, then scanned, then printed as a risograph. It features my dog Coco in the upper lefthand corner, as the King of the Winds.
All lettering on the map was completely done by hand, by me, and hand lettered (no fonts were used).
The print measures 11x17", and features multiple locations in Oregon, including in central Oregon and on the Pacific Coast, with a focus on the Willamette Valley - e.g. Portland, McMinnville, Oregon City, Salem, Eugene. The risograph is printed on thick matte paper, and printed with black and chartreuse ink. To purchase this print, click here.
Photograph was taken by local Portland photographer, Andreia Claro.
