Apex Legends S12 - Case Study

A while back I had the opportunity to art direct Season 12 of Apex Legends with my good friend's over at Cinco Design.

Electronic Arts and Respawn looked to breathe new life into the visual system of the franchise and wanted to break free from the simple color blocking and hero swaps between seasons.

Our solution was to pull more visual elements that not only could be used as additional assets throughout the system, but also to tell a deeper story...

The overwhelming success of this season led to a breadth of additional work through the last few years, including S12 Event Key art, additional seasons and event campaigns, merchandising, rebranding of Apex Legends Global Series, and even a ground-up development launching Apex Legends Mobile throughout its course.
