Voicemails Are Outdated So What If...

I'll be the first one to say that voicemails are a thing of the early 2000's and they no longer hold a relevant place in communication in 2024... Voicemail greetings hold you on the phone longer that you need to record them, they often require longer time to consume and they are not skimmable... and with the advances of speech-to-text technology... What If... we are able to send the voicemail recording as a text message instead? Reach the voicemail, record the message, message gets transcribed to text. The receiver will then have the option to 1) skim it 2) reply via text with context 3) avoid "mailbox is full" and most importantly have a greater open rate. And in this concept UI all can happen within the tap of one button.
