NxtBytes Mobile Application

Introducing NxtBytes Mobile Application:

Problem Statement:

In our learning portal, we offer two courses: Intensive 3.0 and Academy. It has come to our attention that when users complete 70 to 80% of these courses, they struggle to recall the topics they learned at the beginning. To thoroughly revise those units, users need to spend 30 to 40 minutes per unit again - Most of the users described the revision process as cumbersome and lengthy. The challenge of integrating sufficient revision time into their already packed schedules is a common concern among our users.

Solution

To address the issue of users struggling to remember earlier course content by introducing a mobile application that will streamline learning and revision within our Intensive 3.0 and Academy courses. Our approach includes the integration of interactive short-form content, such as short videos, flashcards, and quizzes, tailored to each unit to reinforce learning in a more engaging and less time-consuming manner.

This strategy aims to reduce the revision time significantly while improving recall, making it more feasible for users with busy schedules to stay on top of their coursework.

Gamification Through the Octalysis Framework

One of the strategies that keep our NxtBytes users coming back to our platform more is the implementation of the Octalysis Framework. We leverage the Octalysis Framework by Yu-kai Chou to drive user engagement, making learning both fun and rewarding. By tapping into eight core drives of human motivation, the app presents challenges, feedback, and a sense of accomplishment, ensuring learners are consistently engaged and motivated.
