COGRID-19 : San Francisco Poster

Grids for good. COGRID-19 is a series of risograph prints created to raise money for those most affected by the pandemic. The project brings together 19 artists from a city, each contributing to a shared grid. The collected works are a commentary on the public health crisis and the racial, political and environmental issues that have overtaken our country. Every penny raised will be donated to worthy organizations leading the efforts to help those in need. I helped to organize the San Francisco poster, and personally invited half of the artists. This was the first COGRID-19 poster, and the project has expanded to ten additional cities.

My grid tile has a theme of transforation. Through the pandemic, I had the unmistakable feeling that something was ending. While it was difficult to pinpoint, the idea of change loomed. Could we move forward if it meant leaving part of ourselves behind? Could we take the first steps on a path to heal our communities and connect with a greater purpose?

Prints featuring artists representing 11 cities are available here. The prints measure 11x17" and are printed by Risolve on Neenah Exact Vellum 80lb Bristol.
