Ng Atlas Photos

I dug up some old feature concepts from the National Geographic Atlas app. Shown here is a feed of the National Geographic photo of the day.

Because of how awesome the photos usually are, I thought it would be important that the user had an option to view the photo zoomed, filling their screen to see all the detail. Dragging would pan the photo and a quick tap would return the photo to an un-cropped state.

This was a quick motion prototype done in Origami. Total time to build the interaction example was under an hour.
