Good Motion Project

This is the first Smith & Diction project that we've officially wrapped up and it feels good man.

This was made for a group of Philadelphia videographers focused on making videos that bring awareness to environmentally conscious/sustainable organizations. We didn't want to make anything that looked blatantly film-y; No film strips or camera iconography. We wanted to make something that really emphasized the idea of sustainability being a "GOOD" thing, so we made GOOD be the focus of the mark. I was pulling inspiration from Saul Bass' title sequences from way back as a subtle nod to film history and what not. The text is inlined with circles that can be loosely associated with tree rings or film going through a reel. The text has a raw and tactile feel to it to stand out from most of the polished faux metal Trajan lockups you see in titles before movies.

We also created 4 separate variations of the mark which seems crazy but if you look in the Style Guide that's attached it kinda makes sense. I don't know, you decide. Seems to be a thing that I do with the brands I work on.
