Today we're going to show you screens from the application that we've built for RockDoc company. It is a data management platform that consists of interconnected website and mobile applications. It is used by construction companies to keep track of tunneling, concrete, and earthworks projects.

Project background

The client reached out to us in 2021 with a request to engineer a system that will work with lots of specific industry data and have a mechanism for creating various types of custom reports.

Challenges:

  • Design a system and launch the platform (web application and mobile app) to enter the market within 3 months.

  • Make a quick transition from the demo to a production-ready stable system.

  • Design a robust system that could withstand any data threats and provide stable work for all users.

  • Platform Design

    Our team designed the system architecture with a custom UI and deployed web and mobile apps within the committed timelines and budget.

  • Our design team analyzed the visual language of the industry to pick a distinctive direction. We restyled the general visual concept towards a technology-centric look and feel.

  • The designers also created custom icons to visualize complex and technical processes and services.

  • Launching on time

    For the first release, we chose solutions that allowed us to launch on schedule and present the core features. This approach enabled the client to quickly enter the market, onboard their first customers, and validate the idea. 

  • Scaling the system

    Then we focused on building the production-ready system. Our team rapidly switched apps from Airtable to a PostgreSQL database which improved overall performance and stability. We also set up the backup system to have confidence that data can always be restored.
