Darkthrone is a Norwegian black metal band formed in 1986. The band was originally part of the Norwegian black metal scene, known for its extreme and controversial music. Darkthrone’s early works, like “A Blaze in the Northern Sky” and “Under a Funeral Moon,” are considered classics of the genre.

The Garden of Earthly Delights

The left panel shows the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, various animals, and the creation of Eve. The central panel (used here) displays a fantastical and hedonistic world filled with bizarre and often grotesque scenes of human indulgence, both innocent and sinful. The right panel presents a nightmarish vision of Hell, with tormented souls and demonic figures.
