An Ode to Charleston's Startup Scene

I've found myself volunteering with Startup Weekend Charleston, which mostly happened by accident, a cup of coffee and a simple email to a stranger.

At that moment, I did not anticipate that I would end up taking on a lead role in Marketing for the event… and I certainly did not anticipate the level of inspiration that I've found myself surrounded by.

It's been a long time since I've written any poetry, but the past few weeks, being entrenched in this startup community has me fully inspired. The startup community in Charleston is on fire, and entirely different than any other startup scene. Anything is possible and there are many people here just like you and I. We simply need to connect them. Startup Weekend Charleston, and MANY of it's sponsors are doing their part to grow the community.
