Grand Rapids Griffins Branding, mark 2

Under my online pseudonym 'Six Zero Branding,' I put together an entire branding suite for the 2011 Grand Rapids Griffins design contest. This is the second design,which further explores the 'swipe' graphic by removing the lower body altogether. Biggest challenge here, if I remember correctly, was placing the back wing. If you had to choose, would you go for the 'swipe' or the full body?
