Flipboard Android Icon Redesign

I'm loving how Material Design applies to icons, and I want to try to apply my skills to this design school as well.

Here's my take on Fliboard's icon.

I've always used the app, and the icon they use on Android is just... uh.

I applied some rules of Material, and made this. Taa daa!
