Building Great Icons

Icons need to convey a clear message at every turn. If they don’t drive toward an action action, or communicate to the right audience, icons are essentially pointless. Just like filler words such as “uh” and “um”, poorly thought out icons have no purpose but to frustrate and confuse their viewer.

Paying attention to a few key aspects can improve your icons significantly.
