Pat Deegan's CommonGround Academy

The first idea reflected the notion of “common ground” i.e., mountains have different peak elevations, putting some “higher” than others. But if you turn them upside down, they share the same base, which is the ground. This parallels the idea that psychiatrists are usually seen as “higher, more accomplished” and patients are seen as “lower” or unequal. Our web application helps doctors and patients find “common ground” where no party is of more worth than another. We help docs and patients form new, more human partnerships using CommonGround (our web app). The color scheme of the inverted triangles also reflect this notion of blurring old boundaries and collaborating together on an equal footing i.e. a blue and a yellow combine to make green.
