App Opening Animation

This project has been an absolute joy to work on, right from the initial brief through to the final keyframe.

The task was to create an intro animation for an app.

The client's vision was for an animation in a low-poly style, which would depict life springing forth as the Bible opens.

My creative process began with gathering inspiration from various sources on Pinterest before diving into Adobe Illustrator to start crafting the multitude of triangles required for the low-poly aesthetic. This phase was quite time-consuming, but it ultimately laid the groundwork for the rest of the design.

Once all the design elements were ready in Illustrator, I transferred them into After Effects using the Overlord plugin.

In the briefing, the client expressed a desire for an exceptionally vibrant scene. So, with some fine-tuning and color adjustments, I was able to deliver just that.

The end result, I believe, successfully brings the client's vision to life.

Above is a timelapse of the entire project!

This looping page turner is used as an extra asset when the app is loading.
