I'm redesigning a community website that's awash with links. I'm looking to reduce these down a little and incorporate the logo into the navigation to help achieve this.

It looks great. Only two things:
Maybe the right arrow that triggers the white menu (with company info in it) it's not clear enough to the user. Maybe a icon instead? I dunno.
That and the search box - I think it needs a little more distance from the menu options from the top.
Oh, and which font are you using?
I'm guessing the "Local Businesses" refers to the search box? I think that's a little too unclear, like Samuel already said: distance the search (and the local businesses text?) from the other menu items a bit. Or incorporate the text more into the search field.
What would the fold out menu look like when it's collapse?

@Bram The fold out menu would revert to showing only the arrow, but in white.
The search box is associated with the link above so finding a way to incorporate the two together is important, the arrow pointing down was one possible way. I'm wanting to avoid placeholder text as that might be too much repetition
