The Sky & The Ground

Logo, visual identity, and promotional material for The Sky & the Ground, a family run traditional pub with a twist, located in Wexford town, Ireland.

While researching for the project I came across some reference material for Bishops Water Distillery, a whiskey distillery which was once located directly behind The Sky & the Ground. As the shape of the bottles used were quite distinctive compared to the bottles of today, I thought this would be a good opportunity to bring a sense of tradition into the logo design. The typography and colour palette is based off of the many enamel signs that hang on the pub exterior.

For the logo mark, I felt this needed to feel quite organic. The Sky & the Ground is primarily a traditional bar, but it is also constantly evolving.
