The Goal

The goal of MYCV is to make the resume building process accessible and hassle-free for everyone, empowering individuals to showcase their skills and achievements effectively. By providing a comprehensive solution that caters to the needs of all users, we can help people overcome the challenges of resume creation that often hinder their job prospects.

Qualitative research

I interviewed 10 potential users over phone calls to understand the challenges they face while creating their resume or updating it time to time. Keeping a diverse users' backgrounds I made sure that I can get some good insights.

1. What kind of work do you do?

2. When was the last time you created a new resume or updated your existed resume ?

3. Which softwares do you use for resume creation or editing ?

4. Are you comfortable with the software?

5. Do you create your resume by yourself or with the help of someone else?

6. Would you like to have an easy handy software by yourself so that you can create or update your resume anytime you want?

7. Would you like to get a handy resume building service with some free CV samples?

Key insights derived from the interviews

1. Most of the people are not comfortable making or modifying their resumes.

2. Some of them take other people's help to create or update their resumes and they are not happy about asking their help.

3. Most of them are not satisfied how their resume looks.

4. Some people modify their resume once a year and for some it's every 6-8 months.

5. They can not pay the service, unless a free sample is provided first.
