Improving Photos on Yik Yak

Yesterday we released a great update for Yik Yak that focuses on improving the way you use photos.

Starting with our photo collections on Peek, we completely refocused and rethought how we could showcase all the awesome user-submitted content that we receive. We shifted to full width and height photos and placed them on elegant cards to help visually separate the cells making it easier for users to comb through the feed. We also added a grid view to better facilitate navigating through feeds with lots of posts.

We are also releasing photos for everyone in their local feeds. We've been testing this feature in a couple communities for the last few weeks and the reception has been great. That being said, we knew we could improve the interactions through speed, quality interactions, and context. This update brings new ways to interact with photos and will keep the yak and votes with it when using the photo detail.

This was an incredible update to work on and it wouldn't have been possible without the incredible team I get to work with. We're doing big things and we're hiring Interested?
