DateStamp widget for FigJam & Figma

Whether you’re dreaming, sensemaking, or planning in FigJam, it’s vital to know at a glance when you or your teammates made something, and how your work evolves.

DateStamp is a thoughtfully-designed sticker-widget for FigJam and Figma to label your work with today's date (or any day you choose) so you can more easily iterate within your files and understand your progress. With just enough control and unreasonable attention to detail, DateStamp is a pleasure to use while you work.

Why did we make DateStamp?

We love FigJam, but we noticed something missing. As you iterate on your work, there hasn't been an easy way to record when you held a working session, or captured feedback, or sketched out a product flow, or agreed on a timeline—so it's harder than it should be to see how your perspective evolves.

You could check the file’s last edited date, but that’s too broad to be useful. You could add comments, but they’re hyper-specific (and collapsed by default). You could create your own labels and headings, but it’s cumbersome, and not very scannable.

DateStamp solves this with a sticker-like widget that…

  • Automatically grabs today's date (and lets you easily pick another if you want, with a fully-custom date picker built for elegance and speed)

  • Feels right at home in your files with styling that matches FigJam's built-in stickers

  • Offers 4 status options to keep track of what kind of work you did (date default, approved, discussed, and flagged)

  • Comes in 3 sizes for different kinds of work and content

  • Sticks to any object you place it on (FigJam only), and even leans left or right depending on where it's placed

  • Remembers your last-used preferences
