Further refining the RubberHose rig to be one of the fastest and simplest character animation tools available for After Effects.
The system is used for arms, legs and the body cross-sections.
Limbs are built with a single click and animated by moving two control points. Bends can be as straight or curved as desired and happen automatically based on the Limb Length property. Control points can also be parented for smooth arcs.
Everything is rendered as a single ShapeLayer and can be styled however you like with whatever modifiers or effects are available. No precomping, parent chaining, path point wrestling or puppet-tooling.
