Instagram Redesign Project.

The objective of this redesign project is to increase user engagement on the platform by adding new features that appeal to a broader audience and encourage users to spend more time on the app. This project also offers growth opportunities to small scale businesses by highlighting their products in the new shopping tab in search feed. And also, the visual refresh, more immersive UI.

The new ambient mode shows you the subtle gradient of posts and videos when you swipe through the app. this gives user a immersive experience and curious glance of what's coming next. the top part of the app now stays where it is, meaning you can see the story icons while swiping through the app. this will keep user engaged for long time, because instagram stories are important for people as they can see what their fellow friends are doing currently.

New search feed now has shopping tab. Earlier instagram used to feature shoppable posts randomly into the feed. thus the small businesses who were selling their products on instagram didn't got that much exposure and their sales were very low. this new shopping tab will feature only shoppable posts when selected, thus increasing the exposure of their products. this will significantly increase the sales of small business owners. when the shopping tab is selected and you use search bar above, it will only show accounts or posts related to shopping or products. whereas when feed tab is selected, it will show the results of both the tabs i.e normal posts, normal accounts, shopping posts, shopping accounts etc.
