Lei Etiquette

Traditionally Hawaiians present visitors with a lei, and it’s quite the faux pas for a visitor to refuse one. If you can’t wear the lei, it’s ok to thank the giver, explain the situation, and then either offer the lei to your significant other or place it on a table as a centerpiece. But don’t give it back.
